Ken Schneider
Ward 4 Councilman

Since taking office in 2012, Ken Schneider has:
  • Brought Hyde Park into strong fiscal position with all budgets under NYS tax cap using careful oversight, hard work, low debt and strong workforce
  • Worked closely with Highway Superintendent Fisher to replace aged equipment, re-pave and repair 44 roads and end wasteful spending
  • Started Christmas Tree recycling
  • Supported Chief Benson and Police department so that Hyde Park was recognized as one of the safest towns in the Mid-Hudson Valley
  • Expanded family recreation options at parks with grant funding including disc golf, pickleball courts and funding for new playgrounds in 2022
  • $33 million expansion of town tax base since first elected

Ken's background includes:
  • Regional sales manager for outdoor power equipment dealer
  • Dutchess County native, homeowner and father of two, both graduates of Hyde Park schools
